When in Rome do as the Romans. With that thought in mind I went to the Valambola Kindergarden on my free day to get my hair braided. It took about 3 hours and it is quite painfull process, it is still painfull, but hopefully it will be better tomorrow.
Here’s the picture:
Almost forgot to mention, although [...]

Although this has not much - nothing at all, actually - to do with my life here in Namibia, I just had to show you the following:
Barack Obama demands that the average income of a banker can not be higher than $500,000 US dollars a year. Of course bankers complain, and most other people agree [...]
Skies Break Open, originally uploaded by Hidde Stokvis.
Yesterday evening we had such a beautiful moon and I couldn’t not show it to you. So here is a very short post with the picture of it.
More blogs will follow this week, since I haven’t been posting to much and I feel like I should keep [...]
Yesterday I had my hands full at the Brightstart Christmas Concert. It was a fundraising concert for the local Montessori school Brightstart. First of all you can’t imagine your allowed to make so much noise, but I guess here there are now noise regulations. Whenever you want [...]
This is just a short message from me, I’ll write more later on this week (got to limit the internet usage for now). I just wanted to say I’ve added some picture’s of Lüderitz, our apartment & Windhoek (the capitol).
That’s it for now!

After an extra day in Windhoek - the lift we got had an doctors appointment - we’ve finally arrived in our flat in Luderitz. It’s a nice spacious flat with cold & hot water, a washing machine & two bathrooms (I’ll upload some pictures as soon as I get better Internet).
The trip was lovely: an [...]
