Skaam Haai

This week I picked up my fishing license. And because the last two days have been virtually wind still & sunny days, it was time for fishing.

Accompanied by my downstairs neighbour, his two fishing rods and a six pack of beer we headed out to the yeti, just behind our house. And I’m happy to say I have already caught five shy-sharks (or skaam haai in afrikaans). This are little sharks who get their name from the fact that they roll up like a ball and hold their tail before their eyes. As if they are shy.

Unfortunately we haven’t been able to catch anything other than Skaam Haai and Klip vis (a small fish that looks like a rock). But I’m certain the future holds many beautiful fish for me!

Cheers,

Hidde

Hallo Hidde,

Oma
