Only two full weeks are left before I leave and it’s becoming a bit daunting now. I got an e-mail from my partner Anna saying “I’ll see you at the airport. O my god!” and that’s exactly what goes thru my mind when thinking about my departure.
It’s a weird time in your life now everybody’s leaving to universities or on gap-years. It’s a time of saying goodbye (although I’m certain I’ll meet many again after this year). And although it’s exciting to leave home and be independent, it’s hard to realize what your leaving behind. I’ll definitely miss the hockey, the band, my friends and yes…even my school!
Luckily there’s some distraction too. I’ve updated the blog with a new design and I’ve uploaded the picture’s of the training week (so sorry it took so long). And I’ve booked a hotel in London so Myrte & I will say goodbye in London instead of Amsterdam and we’ll have two more days just for the both of us.
It’s going to be hard leaving here, but he it’s just for a year! The next few weekends I’ll be in the city having a drink and a laugh with all the old friends, hope o see yo there too.
