Everything is coming together now: the blog is getting there, the domain (hiddeinnamibia.com) is there, I’m preparing for my training week in Scotland (which I will attend the 6th of july) and I’m still struggling to raise those last euro’s.
Everyday it get’s a little closer, which is exciting but somehow a bit scary too. What will happen in a year? Will I come back a complete stranger? Will I get along with my partner (who I’ll meet next week)? Will I like Namibia? The People? The Büchter News?
All questions which might look a bit girly but leaving for a year is quite a big step. O well, it will all work out.

Hey Hidde, uncertainty is what makes adventures adventures! You’ll see it’ll work out fine and this is going to be an experience of a life time! Hylke
Jet Says:
Dear Hidde,
The fact that you take the risk and leave Holland behind you is the biggest step you can take, but I am confident that you will enjoy every moment there. Of course there will be tough times too, but we will mail you and by exchanging information, feelings and experiences we all will become wiser from this adventure. We are looking forward to our trip in April 2009, visiting you and see you at work for Buchter news and language courses. Then Hylke and I will see all the beautiful surroundings and wildlife, fantastic! But I hope sincerely that you will experience that happiness is in sharing rather than possession. And you have the opportunity to experience that right from your heart!!
Love,
Your mother
